Tooth Fairy!
Seems the Tooth Fairy has been very very busy lately. It has been 5 days and she has not shown up yet! I am sure it is not that it is not important to her but more like she can't believe that he is old enough to loose that many teeth! Of course we all still beleive in the tooth fairy...who wouldn't. So that can not be the problem. Well Chase may have figured it out tonight. At dinner he reminds me again that the tooth fairy did not come...my stomach sank again in bad mother guilt. I go into the fact that their are billions of children in the world blah blah blah. He said "I know why she is not coming. I have been hot at night and just sleeping in my underware." Joe and I try not to laugh through the rest of the whole conversation. When I go to kiss him good night and he is wearing jammies. So I guess he still believes. Oh and the Fairy pays more when she feels guilty so win win for all!
Chase
I'm so proud of Chase. This year at Scouts he earned his Bear rank. This is the main achievement they work on through out the year. He also earned a very special award, God and Me. There are only 2 patches that carry over to the boy scout uniform and that is one of them. It was also alot of work and really got him into reading the Bible. It was great. Enjoy the pictures!

Here is a picture of the everyday Chase. So our bedtime routine has really changed with him as of lately. He reads to himself but he still wants to be tucked in at night after he is done. Well last night he was way into a good book and I was way in to a not so good book (CHEM) and we both lost track of time. I crawled in bed at 10 and heard Joe and Chase talking. He had stayed up until 10 pm on school night reading! He reads on average 3-5 hours each day. He loves books. I think I need to set an egg timer from now on! He needs his beauty sleep too!

Notice the tongue hanging out this is from the Romanski side of the family...they all do it!

Hippty Hop!
Chase wants a new pet! I want no reptiles, snakes, rodents. I plant the seed that a frog might be acceptable to me as there is no way in THE WORLD that we are having a SNAKE or pregnant male Guinea pigs (yes, I have heard many a mom tell this story). I want nothing that can stink, die, molt or reproduce. I also want my kids to have the experience of owning their own pet and lets face it I would like to them to look back in the future and say "yeah, my mom was cool." LOL. So a frog it is. I made him right up a report on what kind of frog he wanted to get. We went to the pet store and he asked the employee what he would need. Oh and did I mention that he would have to EARN his own money for this pet? As the woman at Petco started telling him everything he would need and the cost his eyes grew bigger and bigger. He was about to leave very discouraged by the overwhelming cost of a Tree Frog until we saw the beginner $6.99 Fire Bellied Toad! They need very little to sustain their slimy lives. So we went home and Chase disappeared into his room to write the report. That night after dinner I was in for the shock of my life. This little 8 year old boy stood in front of us with so much more information that I ever needed to know right down to the scientific name! He knew the average size, what to feed it, breeding (I was shocked he knew what this word was), how many can fit in a 10 gallon tank...you question it he knows it. Then came the fun part...EARNING THE MONEY. He is like the neighborhood salesman. He even told our neighbors they could get rid of their yard service and he would work for 2 bucks an hour. Finally after 2 months he has the money and this weekend we will have to make room for a nasty frog! LOL I just keep telling myself it is better than a gerbil!
Picture will come soon!

Camping with Brock!
What a wonderful time we had. Brock and I went with Maureen and her son zach camping on Sam Rayburn Lake. They have friends that run a camp ground there. They have little cabins so we are going to go back for Joe's Birthday. They are small but very clean and airconditioned! They have the cutest little resturant with great prices so you would never have to cook! This is my kind of "camping". Brock said we are not camping unless we roast marshmellows, so we did. Here are some of my favorite pics from the weekend:

Brock said and did several funny things but the piano playing was the best. He told everyone "Watch out! This is going to be a sad song about a man who fell off his trailor!" Where do kids get the stuff they came up with?

Ok so my kids are pretty good on candy. They have never really gotten hopped up on sugar. I also have not let them have any sweets or juice or anything really since Christmas. WELL watch the video...Brock ate smores and had a little soda and then well...He freaked out! LOL. After this video he stubbed his toe and begged me to suck it better! LOL...

What can a woman do in a week?
I am very proud of myself. It’s not often when I feel like I am bursting with pride for someone other than my children...AND IT'S ME that I am so proud of. I started the week off to a great start with a head cold. I really didn’t think I would make it through but this is what a accomplished:
•One 3 hour trip to the ER… Joe ginsued the tip of his thumb off.
•One nutrition exam (don’t think lightly it is really tough stuff)
•Both children safely and happily arrived at school ALL FIVE DAYS!
•Two nights of Chemistry….snore
•Three days of work (I only work 5 hours…hehehe)
•One trip to the park.
•One 3 hour chemistry study group…bore
•Chase turned is all homework (this is a big chore for me…really)
•One TWO HOUR Ent appointment with Brock. I survived in a 10 X 10 room with both boys. We played Boot camp…DROP AND GIVE ME 20. They crazy thing was they loved it.
•One History exam
•Shoe shopping with Chase. (No one cried. I now know why my mom hated shoe shopping with me )
•One Chemistry exam (I’m really good at it despite the fact that I think it is boring)
•One bike ride with the boys.
•Two days of PTO school store (normally only one by the whole town is sick so I go…can’t let down my kids)
•Planting my front flower bed (ok I have not done this yet but I am on my outside right now)
THE RESULT???
ONE FILTHY HOUSE. TWO HAPPY KIDS. ONE HAPPY MOM.
I also need to mention that I did not stress out once. The only thing I negected this week was my friends...sorry guys I will see you many times next week!
